| Bio: | Due to my limited time, I only post every so often and keep my list very finite. I'm not looking to add anyone for a while. I've tried keeping up with everyone in the past and I ended up spreading myself very thin. All I really desire is to write so that I can reflect down the road. I’ll highlight some important points in my life.
When I was a kid, I was very closed, reclusive and shy to the world. Even though I had a few friends, my interactions with them were limited. My mom was pretty protective. To keep myself entertained, I was interested in taking things apart and figuring out how they work, this was mostly electronic stuff.
At 13, I got into computers. Not knowing a thing, I spent a great amount time getting acquainted with them. I took computers apart and put them back together, the whole works.
During that time, I also got into art. Even though my skills were finite, I had an interest to explore.
I also wanted to be a poem. Not the best at English and doubting myself, I always kept my thoughts and notions to myself.
At 15, I got tired of the lifestyle of living and wanted to endeavor in some new areas. This was the most pivotal point in my life. I started researching mind over matter. I always had a curiosity to find out if it was possible to move things with the mind. With this prelude, I got introduced to psychology, philosophy, nature, and martial arts.
And, I was allowed to sleep over a friend’s house for the first time.
At 16, I wrote my first poem. Experimenting here and there, a few people told me that my words were compelling. This was when the hidden window I’ve kept secret for so long finally fostered and revealed it’s light. I discovered I was a romantic and had a love for nature and it’s creatures.
18, my first girlfriend broke my heart, my first long distant relationship. I had sacrificed so much to keep it going. Within the year we went out, we broke up five times. We had planed on meeting sometime. When I had the chance, I went up to Massachusetts to meet her and she dumped me.
This was also went I went on my memorable road trip. I went to New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Vermont, and Canada in a week. Canada was the most lasting image. Even though I was in Canada for 3 days, I was deeply sad when I had to depart.
By 19, I’ve been writing prolifically. My teacher suggested I endeavor in publishing my writing. (I’m still debating bout that.) I began reading books. Before this point, I hated reading with a passion. I bought books like crazy. Reading about spirituality, meditation, interdependence, philosophy…etc. I was profoundly enlightened and looked at life in new light. It wasn’t jus from another angle now but from sundry points.
My 3rd girlfriend also broke my heart. Not only that, she used me, manipulated me, and scarred me for life. At one point, the pain was so unbearable, it lasted a week and it hurt to bad I wanted to take a gun to my heart.
Since then, I haven’t dated. I gave up the search for love, even though the window is still open. I don’t think I’ll find the kind of love I’m looking for.
I’ve gotten over some fears hear and there. At some point in time, my fears became my rush. I remember when I went hang gliding in Nags Head. I was scared and nervous, but I did it anyway, and I loved it. In the future, I’d like to skydive. Right now, I’m taking a swimming class, and I don’t know how to swim.
I try to model my life to water now. I’m always open for change and ready to adapt. Wherever the current takes me, I’d like to explore. |
